Georgia Virtual Learning

Well, here we go again!  Greetings to my assessors and fellow module mates.  Welcome to my little blog.  I do hope that it's okay, but I already had a blog that I was using for tutoring over the summer and it seemed silly to litter up the internet.

I am currently enrolled in the MAT History program at the University of West Georgia, but I started out of sync with my cohort and there is nothing for me to take this semester...seriously...nothing.  I have been enjoying tagging along on my husband's business travels this summer/fall, but I was delighted to enroll in this course and would love to teach online.

As for experience, there was previous employment with the International and American branches of the Red Cross, followed by a BA in British Literature and History from the University of London,  further employment with the University of London, Birkbeck College as the administrator for the Arts and Humanities PhD program.  I moved back to the USA in 2012, upon which my husband was promptly diagnosed with cancer.  He encouraged my enrollment in the MAT and I set upon it with great enthusiasm.

I have a pretty good handle on most technology, but being a historian I use it more for work than for pleasure.   My great joys are usually found in the archives, the libraries, or the well stocked kitchen of my home.  Feel free to look about the blog.  There are loads of little tidbits, but I should organize them better.
